As the seasons change, so do our inspirations in the Dynamic Earth kitchen and to welcome the Summer, we’ve launched a new seasonal menu that champions dishes that are both tasty and healthy, all made from scratch with locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.
Our chefs have gotten creative to prepare a range of meals that feed brains and bellies this Summer. Read on to discover some of our new dishes that are good for you and good for the planet.

Filled Focaccia Sandwiches

Enjoy freshly baked focaccia, made from scratch right here in Dynamic Earth. Our sandwiches are generously filled with high-quality Scottish ingredients such as Highland Morangie Brie. Whether you choose our savoury roasted vegetable medley or the classic combo of pastrami and Swiss cheese, our sandwiches are the perfect choice for a takeaway to enjoy in the park or to eat in as you look out at the stunning views of the Salisbury Crags.

For those Summer days when the sun doesn’t quite reach us, we have some hot food that’s good for the soul, good for you, and good for the planet, too. Our cauliflower steak brings a healthy twist to the traditional comfort food, perfect on those colder days. Not only are the vegetables locally produced, but the sauce is vegan. We cater to all dietary needs, so if you’re curious to see what else we offer, please just ask our café team!

Your Summer salad doesn’t have to be boring! Our chefs have created some delicious and nutritious salads to add some vibrancy to your lunchtime. 25th Birthday Cupcakes

After your adventure through 13.7 billion years of history, treat yourself to one of our 25th birthday cakes! This Summer, we’re celebrating 25 years, and what better way to celebrate than with cake? This light vanilla treat is a wonderful accompaniment to a nice cup of tea after a walk up Arthur’s Seat or a trip through time and space in our science centre.

Our menu is inspired by the fresh flavours of Summer, taking you on a culinary journey through Scotland with each bite, thanks to our locally sourced ingredients. While our dishes may change, we guarantee delicious options for everyone at our Café!
