Dynamic Earth, Education Scotland, Scottish Government and a wide range of national partners joined forces with Carrick Knowe Primary School to issue a national Call to Action.

The goal? To build a movement for change to realise the ambition of Scotland’s refreshed Learning for Sustainability Action Plan.

The Action Plan is a response to the voices of children and young people who have called for Learning for Sustainability, and for climate change, social justice, global citizenship, outdoor learning, equalities and rights, to be a greater part of their daily learning experiences.

The Call to Action seeks to mobilise people from every part Scotland to work together for the benefit of our people, planet and prosperity. By joining the inspiring movement for change to reach Target 2030, we are calling for:

  • Every 3-18 learning setting in Scotland to become sustainable by 2030
  • Learning for Sustainability for ALL

It is undeniable that education has the transformation role in building a fairer, greener Scotland and helping us to become a Net Zero Nation.

The goal is to tackle the nature and climate emergencies and make sure that rights, equalities and social justice are at the very heart of the movement for change.

The Call to Action is for everyone in Scotland.

We all have a valuable role to play. It requires a #TeamScotland approach.
