SUMMER OUTDOOR CLUB

Booking for Summer Outdoor Club 2026 now closed.

This summer holiday, join the Dynamic Earth team for a packed programme of outdoor discovery and adventure with our Summer Outdoor Club in Edinburgh!

Through our week long programme in the iconic setting of Holyrood Park, a new generation of young scientists and explorers will be inspired to learn new skills, and grow their confidence.

Our exciting programme of activities is designed to give children aged 7-12 the skills essential to scientific success such as creativity, problem-solving and experimenting. This skills are encouraged through fun outdoor activities, like rocket engineering and shelter building – plus lots of crafts and group games too!

We’ll explore a range of different activities designed to appeal to children aged between 7-12, including:

NATURE INVESTIGATIONS

Wildlife spotting, shelter building and habitat exploration in Holyrood Park.

GETTING CRAFTY

Get crafty and creative with a range of hands-on make and take activities.

GAMES

Play team and whole group games, while making friends and having fun in the outdoors.

PLANET PROTECTION

Take part in conservation activities that help protect our planet.

Are you able to take children under 7 and over 12?2025-02-25T13:11:15+00:00

Unfortunately not. Our activity programme is developed specifically for children aged 7-12. We do our best to develop an engaging, challenging and stimulating programme that’s fun for everyone in this range.

Please do not book a place for Summer Outdoor Club if your child is under the age of 7, even if they have a birthday coming up soon. If we learn your child is under the age of 7, we reserve the right to ask them to be collected from the club and no refund will be provided. If you have any questions about our age restrictions, please email us at enquiries@dynamicearth.org.uk before making a booking.

My child has an additional support need, what support can you offer them to make the most of Summer Outdoor Club?2024-02-23T15:41:20+00:00

We do our very best to create a welcoming and inclusive Summer Outdoor Club for everyone and we ask that parents/guardians make us aware of any additional support needs: there is a section for this at the point of booking. Please get in touch with us directly if there are needs we should be aware of and can potentially make adjustments for. We cannot plan or help if we don’t know about additional needs in advance.

Whilst our team will do everything we can to support a welcoming and inclusive club, we cannot offer tailored 1:1 support for children with additional needs and unfortunately, we cannot control factors which some children may find overwhelming as part of the club, such as noise levels from other children.
