THIRD LEVEL TO SENIOR PHASE

Find out more about our in-person, indoor and outdoor workshops.

Our secondary school workshops connect pupils with topical and timely issues in science and society, highlighting just how important science is in their everyday lives and futures. Making use of real data-sets, case studies and by providing access to bespoke kit, our experiences highlight how interdisciplinary learning will help us solve the local, national and international impacts of the planetary crisis. Our workshops help develop meta-skills, and show how your pupils will be the problem solvers of the future.

Our centre is located right next to Holyrood Park and the extinct volcano Arthur’s Seat, a fascinating site of geological history and incredible wild space in the heart of the city centre of Edinburgh. The volcano and the wider parkland offer significant opportunities to experience geology first hand, explore flora and fauna and get up close to the natural world. With specialist kit, expertise and access to Holyrood Park – our team deliver inspirational outdoor encounters which help deliver Learning for Sustainability and highlight the relevance and importance of the natural world in everyday life.
