We work in partnership with leading universities, research centres and industry every year to deliver Meet the Scientist opportunities to help everyone connect with and understand the relevance of science in their everyday lives and futures.

New for the 2023-24 school year, we’re delighted to be offering online meet the scientist opportunities for learners across Scotland. Join us in these unique online opportunities to connect with inspirational role models researching and working in a range of STEM subject areas, find out how they got into their area and what advice they have for all budding future scientists who will be the problem solvers of tomorrow.

These free opportunities are open to all schools and learners in Scotland; but we recommend that they’re most suitable for learners working at second level and above. As part of the sessions, you’ll meet one of our friendly learning and engagement team who will introduce you to the scientist, provide an overview of the topic and lead a Q&A which you’ll have the opportunity to feed into as well.
