OCTOBER HOLIDAY CLUB

Join the Dynamic Earth team for four days of discovery and adventure this October with our October Holiday Club in Edinburgh.
We’ve got an exciting new programme of outdoor and indoor activities ready for your child to dive into. Join our Learning & Engagement team for games, activities, experiments and so much more at Dynamic Earth and outdoors in Holyrood Park.

Each day, your child will explore different topics in Earth science including life on our planet and how we can protect it. Booking for this club is flexible, meaning you can book the days that suit your holiday schedule! Each day is different with new activities and scientific challenges. Your child will take part in a range of different activities for children aged between 7-12, including:

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Animal investigations, habitat exploring and science experiments in Holyrood Park.

GETTING CRAFTY

Get crafty and creative with a range of hands-on make and take activities.

GAMES

Play team and whole group games, while making friends and having fun in the outdoors.

OCTOBER CLUB FAQs

What time does the October Holiday Club start and finish?2024-08-29T15:23:44+01:00

The core club programme runs between 10am and 4:30pm each day. Children can be dropped off between 8:30am – 10am each day, pick-up is between 4:30pm and 5:30pm. There is no additional charge for the wrap-around periods.

My child has an additional support need, what support can you offer them to make the most of October Holiday Club?2024-08-27T16:35:55+01:00

We do our very best to create a welcoming and inclusive October Holiday Club for everyone and we ask that parents/guardians make us aware of any additional support needs: there is a section for this at the point of booking. Please get in touch with us directly if there are needs we should be aware of and can potentially make adjustments for. We cannot plan or help if we don’t know about additional needs in advance.

Whilst our team will do everything we can to support a welcoming and inclusive club, we cannot offer tailored 1:1 support for children with additional needs and unfortunately, we cannot control factors which some children may find overwhelming as part of the club, such as noise levels from other children.

October Holiday Club costs £55 per child, per day. Please read our terms and conditions for information about deposits and refunds.

Are you able to take children under 7 and over 12?2024-08-27T16:53:25+01:00

Unfortunately not. Our activity programme is developed specifically for children aged 7-12. We do our best to develop an engaging, challenging and stimulating programme that’s fun for everyone in this range. If we learn your child is under the age of seven, or over the age of 12, we reserve the right to ask them to be collected from the club and no refund will be provided.
