Our community programme is not just limited to working with people in our local Edinburgh area. We recognise that the barriers which may prevent local communities from accessing science learning and visitor attractions are also present for those living in remote and rural areas, where such barriers are compounded by geographical isolation. Therefore we are committed to taking community learning experiences ‘on the road’ to groups across Scotland, enabling people to learn about and connect with the natural world wherever they are.
In Autumn 2022 we had a blast with young carer groups on the Scottish West Coast in Dunoon and Oban, delivering fun ocean engagement sessions both indoors and out on the beach!
