HOW TO DESIGN A UNIVERSE BOOK LAUNCH
7.30pm
Join Scotland’s Astronomer Royal, Catherine Heymans as she launches her brand-new book in Dynamic Earth’s Planetarium!
With live music from local band the Sound Rays, and an immersive full-dome visual experience, Catherine will explore whether humanity could ever create a virtual universe as rich and diverse as our own. Unpack the rules that appear to govern our existence as we ask will technology ever be able to replicate the complexity of life? Could consciousness be coded? Catherine invites you to reconsider what it means to be real.
Catherine will be signing copies of her book ‘How to Design a Universe‘ in the Planetarium bar area after the show concludes.
